Over the past 30 years, Dr. Martin has not only designed research and commercial laboratory systems, but has successfully transferred several research technologies into the private sector. He has served as the CEO and/or founder of five (5) profitable businesses including one that was publicly traded. He has also coordinated mergers and acquisitions and consulted with professional sports, academic and Fortune 500 companies nationally and internationally. His current interests are to research and invest in early stage medical technology companies with a focus on nanotechnology, substance abuse, international law enforcement and anti-terrorism technologies.

Mr. Gold is a practicing attorney with a wealth of corporate start-up and finance experience. Mr. Gold is an international entrepreneur with a wide variety of companies in multiple industries, but primarily in medical technology and healthcare related entities. In addition to his legal background, Mr. Gold has extensive usiness experience, including work in private company formation, funding, and development of successful exit strategies. Mr. Gold is a graduate of Yale University (B.A.), the University of Florida Levin School of Law (J.D.), the University of Florida College of Medicine (M.P.H.) and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine Center for Bioethics (M.B.E.).

Dr. Yijun Liu

Dr. Liu graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University with a bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering, and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) with a doctoral degree in Physiology. He was a Research Fellow in the prestigious Research Imaging Center at UTHSCSA before he joined in the Department of Psychiatry and McKnight Brain Institute at the University of Florida (UF) as an assistant professor. Dr. Liu pioneered research on the sensory function of human red nucleus using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) techniques. He developed the TCA (temporal clustering analysis) method for dynamic mapping of the brain and first applied this technique to reveal in vivo the hypothalamic response following eating. Dr. Liu and his colleagues at UF conducted a series of fMRI research projects to investigate the neural timing mechanisms involved in various cognitive-affective processes, and to model the functional (or dysfunctional) brain circuitry underlying certain neuropsychiatric illnesses, such as obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Dr. Liu is a member of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, the Society for Neuroscience, and the Organization for Human Brain Mapping.

Neil Fortner is the Chief of Quality Assurance for the Air Force Drug Testing Laboratory, headquartered in San Antonio Texas. He is responsible for the oversight of all quality assurance and quality improvement aspects for the Air Force Drug Testing Laboratory. In addition, Mr. Fortner chairs the Department of Defense Quality Assurance Working Group which involves representatives from all Department of Defense (DoD) Quality Assurance drug testing programs working to standardize Quality Assurance across the DoD drug testing laboratories.

Dr. Yi Zhang

Dr. Zhang graduated with a bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering and masters and doctoral degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Control from the prestigious Xidian University, Xi’an, Shaanxi, China where he is an Associate Professor in the School of Life Science and Technology. His research interests in addictions are from his foundation of medical imaging using functional magnetic resonance imaging and resulted in an award from the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) “Frontiers in Addiction Research”. He was a visiting scholar in the Department of Psychiatry, McKnight Brain Institute, University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville, FL where he met and worked with Drs. Martin, Liu and Gold. He has published extensively in the area of drug abuse and conducted the first drug test in Shanghai using Department of Health and Human Service (DHHS) standards. Dr. Zhang completed training at the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association annual meeting in San Antonio in drug testing, collections. Over the years he has worked and inspected several laboratories and Third Party Administrators (TPAs) in the United States and China. Dr. Zhang brings to CAM International Ventures a wide range of laboratory operations and management experiences.

Crystal Zhong, MTI holds a Masters Degree in Translation and Interpretation from Nanjing Normal University and has been working with Dr. Yijun Liu in administration and translation of his research and start up companies in China. She provided extensive interpretation services for Dr. Martin on his trips to China and helped organize the first drug test collection in China sent to the United States. She has visited several major drug testing laboratories in the United States including the United States Airforce drug testing laboratory, coordinated the establishment of CAM internal drug testing program with FirstLab, completed DATIA collector training and attend additional training course at the DATIA annual meeting in San Antonio Texas.
